Carah Gunnoe

Carah Gunnoe joins our faculty this year after studying a variety of dance styles and cheerleading for almost four decades. Ms. Carah was a member of her school’s competition cheerleading team, danced with the Charleston Light Opera Guild, and performed at the West Virginia Dance Festival. She began student teaching at the age of 14 with Kelly Chapman. In 2009, Ms. Carah began interning and training with Joni Cantrell and Cookie Samsworth of Arts in Action. She has years of experience teaching ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and cheerleading. Ms. Carah has always had a love of children and of dance! As an adult she turned her love of dance into her ministry. Ms. Carah is deeply involved in her church’s dance ministry. As part of the team she has written, choreographed, and directed numerous original productions. Ms. Carah is excited to continue her dance journey with the Macholah Ballet!

Ms. Carah instructs our Beginning and Intermediate Level Jazz classes.
