JR. COMPANY & COMPANY AUDITIONS
**Auditions for the 2017-2018 Season is closed**
The Company program is for dancers ages 11 (or will be 11 by the end of 2017) and up OR those who have 3-4 years of dance experience and currently have their pointe shoes. A limited number of spaces are available.
By auditioning, all level Company dancers are automatically placed for The Nativity.
Requirements for all levels of Company members:
- Must take 2-3 ballet technique or pointe classes per week AND one supplement class (i.e., tap/jazz/lyrical)
- Must maintain excellent class and rehearsal attendance. Company members get three excused passes per semester.
Must have at least two year dance experience AND one year of pointe OR be Pointe shoe approved by Ms. Lauren. If Ms. Lauren has spoken to you about the Jr. Company program and recommended that you try out, you are approved to audition. The Jr. Company Program is a 2-3 year program.
By audition only. Must have participated in the Jr. Company Program for two years. New students must have at least four years dance experience and must audition. Company Apprentices participate for at least one year.
By invitation only.
After auditioning, students will be notified by mail whether they have been accepted. If accepted, students and parents will need to sign a contract and students will need to provide a short bio and a Pastor recommendation letter. If paperwork is not received by the first day of classes, September 4th, the student’s spot will be considered forfeited and student must re-audition next year.
Auditions will be approximately 90 minutes long and will include ballet barre and center work, pointe work (appropriate to current level) and a short individual interview.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to stretch and receive your number.
